I have developed the information in Doctors' Medical Library since 1994 and it has received over 42,000,000 hits since its went online Jan. 15, 1999. DML now receives around 300,000 hits per month and climbing. These hits do not come from the idly curious. Most come from people looking for help with health problems. Here is the current hit count: 43131147. If you keep your eye on the counter (particularly in daytime hours), you may notice that it is actively counting up. Compare it to the hit count in the upper left (also red numbers) and you will see a difference which represents the number of hits since you opened this web page. Many of these hits are coming from people who are looking for a health care professional who practices innovative medicine, naturopathy, biological dentistry, or chiropractic, and some of these people are in your area.
In my experience, in an area with 500,000 population within a 60 mile radius, your website will routinely bring in between five and 10 new patients per month, and usually more. If you live in a larger population area...OK, you can do the math. Even if it brings in only one new patient per month, it pays for itself many times over. The reason you do not receive many referrals from your professional societies websites' listings is that those websites are not loaded with information and therefore do not attract significant traffic (and they do not show you their hit counters). There must be a high number of hits to achieve a significant number of referrals. You can see the Doctors' Medical Library hit count any time - simply look in the upper left hand corner of this page (in red letters) or in the same position in, or at the bottom of, any of the hundreds of pages you will find listed under "Library Articles" (upper yellow tab on the left).
Doctors' Medical Library has over 800 articles, over 4,600 posts to Ask Dr. Kennedy, and the DML Medical Dictionary growing week by week, now in the "E"s. This volume of information translates into high rankings in the search engines in many health care related categories and thus lots of traffic which results in high exposure for your website. When you come on board, I invite you to contribute articles on your favorite medical subjects. I will post them and hyperlink them to your website and then submit them for search engine indexing. Your future patients will then find you through your own journalism.
When you finish filling in the sign-up page below, you will see presented on screen your new website. Do it, and see what I mean.
After you see your new website, you can stop, or proceed to actualize it. To proceed you enter your credit card information on a secured page. However, your card will not begin to be charged until 30 days have passed and then only if you have elected not to cancel out. During that time you can evaluate the effect of your website. After the initial 30 days, unless you opt out, your card will be charged $35 every 4 weeks and you have the right to cancel at any time by going to doctors.med-library.net. By signing up you will receive a user name and password which will allow you to update your site, cancel it, or put it on hold, all at your discretion. Also, if you already have a website, you will be able to hyperlink your new website to your already existing website and thus increase traffic to your site. Finally, we will create a submissions page for the search engines so that when someone does a search for your name they will arrive directly at your website.
If you stay with us after the first 30 days' free listing I will host your already existing website on my server at no cost as long as you are listed with DML. There is a $20 transfer fee to pay my webmaster for his work in making the transfer, and after that you are in Free City indefinitely.
